To paraphrase my comment, the author wrote an amazing 5+1 with dialogue that feels like it's taken from the characters mouths and amazing introspection into J'onn and Wally and shows an amazing friendship between the two, definitely worth a read/reread.

Summary
Tadius, hiding as best he can in the wedding-turned trap, watches the return of Ella Ashmore from the grave. The grave part is only a claim, not a certainty, but it seems somewhat late for scepticism. Tadius’ mind, separating itself neatly from the animal hindbrain focused on gibbering incoherently and seeking shelter, begins to work.

The impressively quick journey Tadius takes from "We can't just kill the king!" to "Perhaps he smothered himself with that pillow," starting from the wedding of the Prince and Putrice.
