Summary
It has been almost a decade since Navier’s life was turned upside down when her childhood friend and husband suddenly divorced her to marry his concubine. Fortunately, these events are no more than a distant memory, as Navier has been happily married ever since. She and Heinrey are busy raising their family and ruling the Western Empire.
In this story, Rashta has kept most of her past a secret. Her relationship with Alan has not come to light, no one knows that she misused Navier’s money, and Sovieshu never discovered the truth about Delise. Rashta’s daughter is Princess of the Eastern Empire.
Upon realizing that Navier would not come back to him, Sovieshu decided to avoid the scandal of becoming a twice-divorced Emperor, and he is still married to Rashta. They are raising their daughter together.
While Navier thrives in the West, the divorce is fresh in the minds of many in the Eastern Empire. Rashta and Sovieshu are unhappy together and resent each other. Sovieshu regrets losing Navier, while Rashta blames her old enemy for her current woes. During an especially humiliating occasion, Rashta vows to seek revenge on the woman who has made her life miserable. This time, Navier will not let it slide.
