Rhaenyra Targaryen había descubierto la verdad de como había muerto su madre después de haber sido sacada de la sucesión por su padre a favor de su medio hermano Aegon solo por sueños que tuvo.
Soportó aquella triste realidad en soledad, pero juró vengarse de aquel que se hacía llamar su padre y rey.
Su prima, Jeyne Arryn había venido a hablar con el rey Viserys de acoger a Rhaenyra y nombrarla su sucesora. Este aceptó sin saber que había firmado la destrucción de su familia completamente.
Rhaenyra conquistaría el trono y cambiaría su nombre a Rhaenyra Arryn como tributo a la familia de su madre quiénes la habían acogido.
Sería la primera Reina Arryn en gobernar los seis reinos.
