“Right. Erm… Ron is getting married.”
Malfoy’s brows turned down once more with a puzzled look.
“I’ve heard. Although, I believe his owl must have lost my invitation during its trip,” he said sarcastically.
“And Harry and Ginny think you might want to come as my plus one,” she said, ignoring his comment. She had a plan set in her mind and she just needed to get it all out before she lost the nerve to do so.
Malfoy’s eyes widened but his confused expression did not waver.
“And why would that be?”
Hermione swallowed. “Because I may have told them we are dating.”

After receiving an invitation to Ron’s two weeklong wedding celebration and having Harry and Ginny shove in her face how very much single and lonely she is, Hermione sees herself lying about her relationship status.
The issue is, she didn’t really think the lie through. And let out – accidentally – that her secret boyfriend is Draco Malfoy. She now must convince Malfoy to pretend to be her doting, loving boyfriend for the two-week event. What she doesn’t know, is that he doesn’t need much convincing.

Summary

A chance correspondence with an Unspeakable that turns out to be none other than the Golden Girl herself gives him an unexpected reprieve from his misery, but when he starts wishing for things he can't have, Granger's ideas for fixing it are drastic.
Drastic enough that Draco Malfoy wakes up 11 years old again.

It was just a simple mistake- a split decision for some easy money. You were worked to the bone, picking up extra shifts from your dead end job. And yet, it still wasn't enough. Overdue bills were piling up, clogging the small mail slot of your apartment and blocking the door, making it hard to get in and out. Ribs were starting to poke through your skin as your irritated body screamed at you to give it something; anything.
But no one seemed to care how you were drowning in the metaphorical deep-end. Eviction was a looming consequence for a victim of your circumstances.
In times of desperation, people tend to do just about anything they can do to slip by. Going to banks or credit unions wasn't an option in store for you. So instead, you turned to another resource you knew. You borrowed some dirty money to get by- just a few hundred dollars to keep the lights on. However, these people were a lot more unforgiving with those who had debts to them than the banks were.Your impulsive decision was something you didn't plan to spiral this bad. When you see the silhouette of the debt collector at your door, you know you made an irreversible mistake.
