There was a very simple rule regarding Proud Immortal Demon Way. However one treated Luo Binghe, he would return 10 fold. If he was treated with kindness, he would shower them with gifts and favor. If they betrayed him well... Not that most people bothered to pay attention to that, only begging and pleading for forgiveness after the torture had begun. This was how the world of Proud Immortal Demon Way worked, how each and ever arc turned out. What was unknown however, what no one had ever done in thousands of chapters... was go to Luo Binghe of their own free will after a betrayal, was go before the demon lord, was fall to their knees, was to beg for his forgiveness.
Shen Qingqiu was screwed no matter what, he might as well find out the answer to that. What was the worst that could happen, his torture started early?

The thing was, Meng Yao had arrived at the Nie sect just fine. He’d made it and been accepted on the basis of his willingness to put in the hard work to learn cultivation during wartime, he had maneuvered the situation such that he could contribute to the war in a way that would catch notice in a way his martial skills couldn’t, he had even managed to snag a position of influence the way he’d intended…perhaps slightly faster than intended, but knowing how to take advantage of opportunities was also a skill. At any rate, that had all worked just right and according to plan.
He just couldn’t get out.

The thing about Jin Guangyao is: he always knows what people want, what people need. His niche isn't physical strength, like Nie Mingjue, or elegant, detached excellence, like Lan Xichen — it's delivering what people want before they even open their mouths to ask for it. The one person he has always struggled to puzzle out is Nie Mingjue, who never seems to want much of anything. Lan Xichen's comment in the courtyard, however, has made Jin Guangyao realise that he might have something that Nie Mingjue wants very, very badly.
When Nie Mingjue's qi deviation fails to kill him, Jin Guangyao finds a new way to get into Chifeng-zun's head.
