Summary
Years ago Harrow pushed Gideon too far and she finally made good on her threat and escaped, joining the Cohort and sending back letters of her successful endeavours. So what could have her fleeing back to the Ninth? And how is it possible she's even sadder than before.
Harrow meanwhile has been hanging on by a thread, while she waits for the inevitable collapse of her house, but she is not relieved that Gideon is back. She's not.
Somehow the years apart have made them even worse.
