    Izuku’s eyes widen impossibly, shining with unshed tears that spring to the surface at such an honest admission because for as much as Izuku has grown more confident and found his footing in the world he’s still a crybaby hero, and god, there it is, that look that’s been driving him crazy.

    “Stop looking at me like that,” Katsuki groans, shoving his head against his friend’s shoulder to hide his face, the words soft spoken and muffled by wrinkled fabric.

    “Like what?” Midoriya asks, because he’s an idiot who’s too dense to realize what he looks like right now, what he looks like in Bakugo’s eyes.

    “Like I matter.”
