Clark found himself grinning, soft enough that he didn't notice it at first, but the clicks of cameras and flashing lights woke him up from his daydream, the wind under his chin was getting colder, Gotham's air was gentle on his skin, despite the smog in the air and the scent of blood that somehow always lingered, no matter how much they scrubbed down the streets.
