Cole had never paid all that much attention to the stars. For as long as he could remember he had thought them unremarkable, something to look at every now and then just to remind oneself that they were there. Now however, as he floated aimlessly through the endless expanse of space, surrounded on all sides by countless pinpricks of light, he was beginning to wonder if he should’ve taken a bigger interest after all.
