Summary

Now, with the clock ticking on Dean’s well-being, all that’s left is for Dean and Castiel to get their heads out of their asses and give in to the heat and hormones calling their names, before the claws of Dean’s heat take hold and he’s lost forever.

What they need to do. Many years after losing his own pack, his family, an act he blames himself for, Alpha-Were Castiel is skilled at not giving himself even the smallest of pleasures, including that of a pack. An alpha needs a pack. It’s written into their DNA. It’s so much more than just having a mate. It’s the pack bonds that make an alpha whole, and the longer Castiel denies himself one, the more he loses of his humanity.
When a drunken, desperate act brings a beautiful, vibrant omega to his doorstep with a disastrous winter storm nipping at his heels, Castiel knows he does not deserve the gift. Summary
Four years ago Castiel Lord married local mechanic, Dean Winchester, and for two years their relationship flourished, until a decision made by Castiel sent Dean out the front door, and divorce papers were served. Now Castiel is two days from the alter with a new finace on his arm, and he's over Dean, he really is, their relationship dissolved for completely valid reasons. Of course, that's a lot easier to believe when Dean isn't standing in his mother's back yard, offering an olive branch in the form of a favor for the Lord household. Suddenly memories of their past are everywhere and Castiel is faced with a choice he never thought he'd get again.
