The only things keeping her hopes up were the only two people who would ever give her the time of day. The man who found her, and her best friend. Count Dooku, and Obi Wan Kenobi.
Or: Ahsoka is aged up and gets found by Count Dooku earlier in the timeline. And one day, when she meets with him, he introduces her to his old padawan and grandpadawan. Both who find this little ball of energy very interesting.
