“Buck. Are you coming over or not?”
“I- What?” Buck falters, not entirely sure he heard Tommy correctly.
“You wanted to talk about it. We’re not doing this over the phone. Come over.”
The call ends with a short beep, leaving Buck sitting there thoroughly confused. He jabs at Tommy’s contact again, pulling up another call. It barely rings once before clicking over to Tommy’s voicemail.
Buck huffs, getting up to go find a pair of shoes and locate his keys.
Fine. If Tommy wants to talk in person, they can talk in person.
At the asscrack of dawn.
Like totally normal people.
God, Tommy’s such an asshole sometimes.

“Eddie? It’s 1:15 in the morning, what’s wrong?” Buck’s voice is rough with sleep, but the worried edge is clear. Eddie doesn’t normally call him at this hour, so this has to be something serious, right? Hell, Eddie’s not normally awake at this hour if he doesn’t have to be. Something has to be wrong.
“Can you come over? I…” Eddie trails off, sniffing softly. The sound breaks Buck’s heart a little bit. “I don’t want to be alone right now.”

The exhaustion from his shift the day before and the ever-present dark cloud hovering over the Diaz house is wearing his patience thin, try as he might to stop it from doing so. It also doesn’t help that he has been fighting to stay pleasant against a teenager’s stormy attitude for the past… however many days. Buck has lost count. “Eddie…?”
Buck sways slightly, eyes wide. He’s paler than he should be and his voice sounds so, so fragile. His hand twitches at his side like he’s trying to reach for Eddie, but he can’t quite get his arm to move.
In the time it takes Eddie to glance down, then back up to Buck’s face with dawning horror painted on his features, Buck’s legs give out and he collapses onto the concrete in slow motion.

“It’s not like you were going to propose or something.”
Tim immediately freezes, and so does she. Damn. Why the hell did she say that out loud? She hadn’t meant to, but it’d been on the top of her mind, and it just...slipped out. She opens her mouth to correct herself, but nothing comes out fast enough.
Oh, no. She knows that expression on his face. She’s made him incredibly nervous, and now he doesn’t know what to do or say. Her face goes hot despite the rain, and she has the terrible, immediate sense that she has just stepped directly on the thing they have both been carefully walking around.
“Would it have been so bad?” he eventually asks.
Lucy blinks, not sure what he’s asking. “What?”
“If I proposed,” he clarifies.

Saw some time travel fics and after someone asked on Reddit how S1 Tim would react if he saw S7 Tim, I wanted to explore it—so expect a deep dive into Tim's psyche.
Tim finds himself in 2025 and is in for a lot of surprises that may or may not break his brain.
It won’t be overly supernatural or sci-fi-y! IWill contain S7 spoilers and tie up some loose ends left after the finale.
Tim’s head is ringing.
No, that’s an understatement.
There’s a whole orchestra going off behind his forehead, the piece they’re performing heavy on percussion and brass, and it is agony.
He forces his eyes open, squinting in the glare of the flickering overhead light. He’s flat on his back, and for a moment he can’t feel anything beyond the cold floor. Tries to move his legs, his arms, his fingers—and gets nothing.
Panic engulfs him instantly, the doctor’s voice in his ear: “We weren’t able to remove the whole bullet safely at this point. There’s a chance the fragment we left in will eventually shift close to your spine, in which case we will have to operate to prevent paralysis. But for now it’s safer if it stays put.”

She’s dressed smartly in dark slacks and a light-blue blouse, her short hair—grey with a coppery tint to it—bobbing angrily as she snaps at Miles and a doctor standing a little to the side. As Tim and Nolan get closer, it becomes clear this is about the blood draw. Joshua Kendall already gave his consent, not that he had much of a choice. But clearly, mom wants to make this more difficult than it needs to be.
Okay.
Watching Miles squirm like this is entertaining, but he wasn’t actually there and has no idea what happened—and Kendall’s mom needs to back off.
“Ma’am,” he says, voice firm—because he has absolutely no problem handling pissed-off civilians even if it’s not exactly his idea of fun. “I’m Sergeant Tim Bradford. I’m the one who arrested your…”
