    Summary

“He’s a child, please, someone help us!” Jake started to turn, looking wildly between the gaps in the Metkayina circling him for someone to step forward and provide aid, or the Olo'eyktan himself. More and more villagers were surrounding them, coming to see what the spectacle was. Some had sad eyes, acknowledging that any child losing their life was a tragedy, but many wore an expression of distrust.

Now, Spider thinks every human on this forsaken base should have to beg for forgiveness for the inhumanity and depravity they operate under. He thinks: they should feel lucky, blessed, that it’s not him granting absolution.

    Summary

There weren’t supposed to be any babies on Pandora. The RDA worked hard for it to be that way. Norm wasn’t supposed to find a baby here, let alone raise one.

And yet, here he was, with a baby in his arms, filled with the inexplicable feeling that his life had been leading him to this moment, all along. It felt right. It was destiny.

OR, how Norm, for better or for worse, ended up raising Spider, and how he eventually accepted the role and title of “dad” along the way.
