Every wall he built crumbled to dust. He had no foundation left to build off of. No rubble to try and cover himself with. He was left with only ashes and dust.

Kisuke would like to say that he's settling into the life of a simple candy shop owner in Karakura wonderfully. This might, admittedly, be due in great part to the bookstore down the way owned by the mysterious Mochizuki-sama, who has some how, quite abruptly, inserted himself into Kisuke's life, and willingly selling Kisuke's sweets at his bookstore.
Now, if Kisuke could just figure out what his store was called, or, even, meet the man when Kisuke isn't hauling a body, that would be even better.

Ichigo huffs. “That’s not what he was implying,” he muttered, cheeks flushed again. He rubs at his temples like he has a headache.
Kisuke frowns. Then what- oh. “He thinks you’re fucking me,” he says. That makes sense. Ichigo has been protecting him since the day he arrived here, and he does stay in what was (is?) Ichigo’s bedroom.
A wounded noise slips from Ichigo’s lips, and he somehow looks even more embarrassed. “I didn’t mean for them to think this,” he promises, like he thinks Kisuke will be offended by the idea of being kept to warm his bed.
Looking at Ichigo, Kisuke has to admit he’s not opposed to the idea, he’d just never considered it. Ichigo isn’t bad looking and if he gets past the whole ‘technically a kidnapping victim being forced to stay in Hueco Mundo’ then really, Ichigo is an ideal partner from both an aesthetic and power standpoint.

Kisuke finds that hard to believe.
“Well, none of my business. I only wanted to meet you,” Orange-hair says. “The names Ichigo.”
Kisuke doesn’t offer his name. He stubbornly keeps his mouth shut like a good Onmi operative. This could all be an elaborate set-up and he’s not taking any chances.
Snorting, Ichigo spares a single glance down at the body below him. “Well, you’d best be on your way now that you’ve achieved your goal,” he says. Even though nothing about it is an order, something in Kisuke feels compelled to follow his direction.
The haziness doesn’t fade from his mind until he’s back in Seireitei, reporting his success to Yoruichi. He doesn’t mention his run in with the non-human boy.

Unfortunately, he doesn't manage to beat the crap out of people fast enough to stop the Gotei from showing up on Las Noches' doorstep.
He doesn't manage to do it fast enough to stop one of the Gotei's captains from getting stuck on Las Noches' doorstep, either.
