Kris is free from the control of the Soul, and has to adjust to making their own decisions and facing the consequences of their actions. Susie dealing with Kris's betrayal. The Holiday family all have their own demons to battle, Noelle's feeling about Susie and Kris are put into question, Carol coming to terms with the effects of her parenting, Rudy with his impending end and December learning to live again after being freed from the darkness. its going to be a bumpy road, but a flat and straight road would be too boring. Right?
