Summary
Leaving the military was something Simon never thought he'd do; he always thought his life would end bleeding out in some industrial complex or in the woods somewhere. His name nothing more than words on a report detailing all the kills he'd done during his service, and his body burnt to ash if they even bothered to recover him from the scene. Somehow he did leave though; he retired, wasn't booted for misconduct, or secretly released like he was some type of government secret that needed to be watched.
He was given his paperwork, a firm squeeze on his shoulder, and a tight hug from his sergeant before being wished a peaceful life.
