Both father and son had been all too aware that Ampert was never meant to come home when his name had been reaped. His death was a punishment to his father to keep him in line.
Beetee knew that his son would die. He had prepared for it, no matter how cruel and unfair it is.
But actually seeing his son be torn apart reminds him of who is actually being punished.

Summary
Remus would never forgive Sirius for the Prank, or would he? It is now sixth year, three months after what had happened and Remus still hasn't spoken to Sirius.
