With a sound like a giant bubble bursting, Harry vanished – ripping a chunk of the fence and the earth beneath him into a swirling void.
Dudley and his gang froze, staring at the empty space where the other boy had just been – confusion clear across their faces.
Harry Potter had gotten away.

Summary
The last thing Hermione remembers is Bellatrix screaming curses over her while she laid, in agony, on the floor in Malfoy Manor. Yet, she wakes in the middle of the forest. After being rescued, against her will, by a group of delinquents she finds herself being drawn into their war. She can’t help it, she cares about them. The witch wants to protect the impressive, resilient bunch.

“Does your head hurt?” Long blonde hair tickles her nose as it hangs over her. Featherlight touches trail down her arms, abdomen and legs as they examine her.
“Does my head hurt?” Hermione repeats as she cackles madly. Perhaps Bellatrix did affect her sanity. “I can’t even see my face and I know I’m bleeding. As blood is meant to remain inside one’s body, I’d wager that pain is present.”
Someone further back snorts while the woman next to her sits back on her heels with a frustrated sigh. “Oh great, a smartarse. Just when I assumed you were a nice girl who appreciated help.”
“I am nice.” Hermione’s lids fall against her will as she scoffs indignantly.

Summary
When Harry Potter’s name comes out of the Goblet of Fire Dumbledore thinks he'll finally get the boy where he wants him. What he gets instead is a platoon of cadets from Her Majesty's Royal Mage Corp. More specifically, he gets Serpent Squad, a group of highly trained teenagers led by a green eyed boy with the codename 'Rooster'. A boy who will never allow himself to become Dumbledore’s pawn.

What if Petunia and Lily weren't as estranged as they let everyone believe? What if the Dursley’s didn’t trust Dumbledore? And what if St Brutus was a military school?
