Summary
Aragorn’s hunt for Gollum was interrupted by what seemed at first but a village disturbance—a stray child in distress, or so it appeared.
Yet there could be no mistaking the points of her ears, nor the light that lingered in her gaze.
Long had the Eldar ceased bringing children into a fading world. Yet here she sat, perched on a common oak, her bare feet swinging, her copper hair alight.
How had she come to be? And why, when all wisdom said such joy had passed from the world?

“Do you like it?"
The simplest question to everything. A yes or no, asked over and over. Do you like Exy? Do you like yourself? Do you like the language that you should have learned in school in a country you were ripped from? Neil and Andrew, last December, bent over him on the couch asking him do you like us?
Kevin hums, a rising note of both confirmation and avoidance, different to how it was as a kid with that tilted accent.
*
alternatively; Kevin Day’s horrible no-good very bad attempt at learning Gaeilge in the fucking USA.

Summary
Soulmates are chosen by the spirits and can hear each other’s thoughts. Sokka thinks it’s cheesy and dumb. Zuko thinks it’s poetic justice that he doesn’t have one because he doesn’t deserve it. Cruel irony is finding out that the prince of the Fire Nation (and the person currently hunting you) is your soulmate.
(Set during and after the events of ATLA, and during some of the events of the comics that follow. This was an excuse to write a slow-burn where Sokka and Zuko are soulmates)

“I see.” Zuko closes the scroll. “Is the Water Tribe sending a replacement?”
“Uh yeah,” Sokka gestures to himself dramatically. “You’re looking at him.”

Summary
My dearest beloved,
It is with great relief that I finally write to you. I think it doubtful for my words to ever reach your ears, but spare me this chance to lend you a piece of my thoughts — and only a piece, for I must write with caution lest I be discovered.Neil, amidst his own internal emotional conflict, accidentally stumbles upon letters Todd had been writing in secret to an unknown recipient. Neil (an idiot) continues to intrude on Todd's privacy by reading each new letter in secret, continuously agitating over their purpose.
