Kaikki menee suunnitelmien mukaan siihen asti, kunnes kesken Bojanin puheen juhlatilaan marssii kuusi sukkahousupäistä ryöstäjää, ja kaikki on pilalla.

“Here.”
In Bojan’s hand, sitting squarely in the middle of his palm, was a round plastic package. Inside of it there were dozens upon dozens of little stars, emitting a faint glow.
“Oh,” Jere breathed out as he took the small package, holding it gently in his hands as though it was something precious and fragile. “For me?”
“You said you missed the stars,” Bojan said softly. He reached out and wrapped his hands around Jere’s, enclosing the jar of stars. Holding Jere together, preventing him from slipping away. “It’s not much, but I… I hope you like them. I-if not then-”
His words were cut off as Jere launched himself forwards, hugging Bojan’s waist. “You always get me some surprise.”
They might not be the real deal, but as Jere laid in his bed that night, he swore he’d never seen a prettier sky of stars, meant just for him and him alone.

Summary
Jere matkustaa kavereineen lomalle Kreetalle. Oppaana kohteessa toimii muuan slovakki ja Jere ihastuu häneen jo ennen kuin on ehditty lentokentältä hotellille saakka. Bojan ja Jere kohtaavat tämän jälkeen usein ja vähitellen tunteet heräävät ja syvenevät molemmin puolin. Kreikan kuuma aurinko polttaa, hiekka polttaa, tunteet ja kosketukset kärventävät. Kaiken päättymiselle on kuitenkin päivämäärä. Loma alkaa kepeästi, mutta etenee sitten haikeampaan suuntaan.
