Summary
Tim was used to the cold. Truly. He’d lived in Gotham his whole life–all 12 years of it–and his parents often lowered the heat when they were gone on business trips in the winter. He was used to being cold.
It’s just that this cold was different. There had been a snowstorm raging outside for the past 3 days, causing the power to go out earlier in the day, which meant no heat. Now it was nearing 8pm and Tim was cold.
It was the type of cold that seeped into your bones and made you forget what it was like to feel warmth. This cold spread across Tim’s skin and grew its roots into his bloodstream like a weed.

After meeting Jason at the library while conducting research, he finds a friend to go along with his hair-brained scheme.Jason is very worried about this sweet baby who is all alone. He knows enough to not trust the adults in this kid's life to step in. So he sticks with Tim, after all, an empty mansion is better than sleeping on the streets.
Alfred finds two children covered in dust, stumbling around the batcave. He is already mentally adopting them.
