“How do we know you're safe?” Sukuna continued to squint his eyes.
“You don’t.” Choso responded, only to scramble to add more seconds later after realizing that what he had said was by no means comforting. “But I will do my best to prove to you that I possess no ill intentions.”
The skeptical cub raised his eyebrow. Perhaps Choso had used words too large for him to understand.
"I wish to make you feel safe. What can I do to help with that?”
“You can leave.”
♦ The responsibility of raising the youngest members of their excessively complicated family has fallen onto Choso after the twins lost their grandfather and only guardian. Choso does his best, but he soon finds that he'll need more than his determination to make this family work.

Summary
Silence remained as the one Yuji had waited so long for leaned down to rest a knee beside his thigh. A forceful hand shoved its palm against the top of Yuji’s chair, keeping his body bound between it and the one above him, unable to escape the fingers now clasped around his neck. Even in human form, the claws the hunter relied upon would not remain hidden, shaping his nails to an unruly point threatening to break the skin below Yuji’s chin. Heavy, labored breaths fogged up Yuji’s sunglasses. This worked in Yuji’s favor to hide the way his eyes darted around to get a proper look at the form his hunter had taken.
The black markings, forgotten symbols etched in ink only the hunter knew the meaning of, had remained from one form to the next to decorate his human skin. They were all that Yuji needed to know who stood above him. No one else would ever compare.
“What took you so long?”
