“Can I-” Tim’s voice fails him as he clasps his hands in front of him, wringing his shirt. “Can I know your name at least?” Tim trails off. He can’t say why he asked if the boy presses him, he just feels this pull in his chest. Its like he swallowed a thousand magnets that keep trying to center themselves on his companion’s reluctant presence.

Summary
Yagi Toshinori watched the green haired boy walk away after saving his friend and shook his head. While the boy's actions were heroic, he was just too reckless. He walked in the opposite direction, thinking about a time he could meet the candidate Sir Nighteye put forward.
Izuku Midoriya goes home and decides that, even if he can't be hero himself, he can still help them with his analysis. Cue Izuku catching the attention of multiple heroes who are a little more open-minded and willing to see the potential in a quirkless kid.

there are so many fics with deku with a quirk becoming a vigilante or a hero or even a villain on his own merit. This one though? This one doesn't have a quirk and it doesn't have him ruined by other people's issues. Midoriya takes his life into his own hands and in the course of one 2 am decision begins a spiral that proves to everyone that had ever doubted him and will ever doubt him that he can do more than they will ever wrap their heads around.
I cannot recommend this highly enough. -
