Summary
In 2007 the Magyar tribe of Hungary and Madjar tribe of Kazakhstan reunited (due to genealogical findings) and held games with only tribe members present. This became the first Great Kurultai, which is not to be mistaken with Kurultai where clansmen gathered to elect the new Mongol khan. In 2008 it was held in Bugac, Hungary with all Hungarians and became a celebration to keep alive fellowship with the Hungarian parliament becoming a patron legitimizing its importance for national identity. From the first Great Kurultais on, other Steppe nations(mostly micro nations or tribes within the main thirteen nations) were invited to participate in the games and celebration as well.
Another part of Hungarian heritage is the relationship that persists between the people of Hungary and Poland. Despite Political Turanism having been born(19th century) in response to the growing influence of Pan-Germanism and Pan-Slavism,( which were seen by Hungarians as very dangerous to the state and nation of Hungary because the country had large ethnic German and Slavic populations) the turbulent Poland is also invited to this particular Great Kurultai where he meets friends turned enemies again and enemies turned friends. -
