"That's awfully accusatory for a man with a five thousand dollar bounty on his head, dead or alive." Then, after a moment, Wade lets his faux affronted expression twist into mirth, and confirms, "Yeah, I stole it."
With a devilish grin, Wade offers Peter the bottle once more. Peter takes it without hesitation. It's good whiskey, legally obtained or not.

Summary
Being one of the only out guys at his dinky little college has its ups and downs, all of which Steve was looking forward to escaping for the holidays. He is supposed to be in London, having a luxurious, magically English Christmas with his parents and any number of cute British guys, but due to a passport mishap—which he is not ready to admit is his fault—he is stuck in this nowhere college town all by himself.
A one-night stand with Eddie Munson certainly isn’t going to make him feel worse.
