Summary
"I could be some guy you like, for once," Jackie casually says.
Well guess what, Jax? There aren't any. There never are. Shauna notices them, sometimes, but nothing to write home about.
"There was this guy at the bonfire the other night," Shauna lies smoothly, almost proud of how steady her voice sounds.
"What's his name?"
Her lips part before she can second-guess it. "Jack."

Or: Sometimes, Jackie and Shauna make out or even have sex while Shauna pretends to be Jeff. One night, Jackie offers to play the male role and Shauna takes the opportunity to confess her feelings.

Summary
How do you find out if a girl likes you without ever directly asking?
or
Jackie is terrified of just saying how she feels and instead constructs a very convoluted plan to make Shauna jealous to get proof that Shauna likes her back, then she'll feel comfortable to confess to Shauna. No risk of rejection, no way for it to go wrong.

Ughhh another great one! Came here as soon as you posted the link! I love how you perfectly encapsulate Jackie and Shauna’s perspectives - it’s exactly how I picture all of these little things throughout their years together. Shauna’s negative/jealous feelings and letting them fester all the while Jackie sees the same thing but through the lenses of affection/love. Perfection!

Summary
Instead of freezing to death, Jackie wakes up over a year before the crash, right in Shauna’s bedroom. But the weird part isn’t even the time travel, it’s having to exist at the same time as a younger, brighter version of herself.
Or
There are two Jackies and Shauna gets terrorized.
