“Sit, sit,” Malika urges, gathering up fistfuls of bandages and hermetically sealed equipment, then depositing them on a nearby crate that stands as a makeshift table. “You are good to come so soon – this could be a terrible infection, all this loose skin.”
“Bloody hell,” Price mutters, scrubbing at his face with a shift of his feet that broadcasts his desire to pace.
Kyle clears his throat. “It’s really not so –”
“Sergeant,” Price barks, glaring hard around the curve of hand parallel to his temple. “Sit.”
“Alright,” Kyle says, putting his hands palm out, as he sits down on an aluminum and canvas cot. It’s got him feeling a bit like a dog, sure, but it’s definitely Price going rabid between them. “You got me.”
The pacing begins about thirty seconds later.
