Summary

Sanji shuffled his feet, staring at the ground before glancing back up. "Will you come back?"
Law's gaze shifted away. "Maybe in a month," he said, his voice measured and careful. "I don't know for sure, but... we'll be back."
Years ago, Law lost the one closest to him in a tragedy that shattered his world—or so he believed. The weight of that loss never faded, a wound that refused to heal. But fate had other plans—because now, in the heart of the Grand Line, the boy he had mourned for years stood before him, alive.

Summary
It isn’t supposed to be serious, just a lighthearted jab when Pedro notes, “You seem to be enjoying yourself,” and requests the honor of greeting Sanji himself. Pedro bets the chef will brush him off, at most accept in the most neutral way possible.
He is not ready for Sanji’s face, already a little pink from eyeing Nami and rubbing cheeks with several others, to flush furious and fast, his wide blue eye quickly sliding up and down Pedro’s taller frame before glancing away. He nods, mouth twisting into an unsure smile.
Suddenly, not expecting much feels like an impossible feat, as those long fingered hands, covered in small nicks and marks from years of culinary training, flex and clench tight.
