Summary
“I want you to tell him why you're so upset," Vecna says, and Will swears he sees the curl of a smile in the scarred webbing of his face. “I want to watch you lose him.”
(Or, Will is forced by Vecna to confess his feelings to Mike, with a slow burn aftermath. Hypothetical Season 5.)

“Harrington,” he croaks - god why, why do I have to sound like that in front of him - he clears his throat, continuing, “you couldn’t have done me a favour and let me die in that shithole, spare me from Dustin?”
Steve finally turns to look at him, grinning madly. Fuck, Eddie thinks, fuck this is so unfair. You’re just standing there looking at me like that, smiling, all broad and pretty and scarred up, fuuuck.

Alternatively titled: the Steve Harrington bisexual crashout of 1986. Because vecna might be dead- but repressing your feelings (and trying therapeutic D&D with the direct cause of your identity crisis)- is quite enough to be getting on with.

Summary
It's October of 1984, and Steve Harrington's life is completely normal.
A new sort of normal, but still...completely normal. It doesn't matter that there are still gaping holes in his memory or that Will is having more and more episodes because Steve has everything under control...right?

Summary
During the heavy summer before freshman year, Steve Harrington drifts through the familiar rhythm of Hawkins—pool days, bike rides, and the easy orbit of Tommy and Carol. Beneath the surface, though, he feels a restless tug, aware that high school will demand more than the loops he’s always known. Between the pull of basketball glory, the quiet weight of his own academic struggles, and the expectations of a town that likes its kids sorted neatly, Steve realizes he doesn’t want to be just one thing. By the time the first bell rings, he’s resolved—quietly but firmly—to carry both, no matter how hard it is.

Summary
“What did you just say?” Munson stares at him like he’s grown a second head– like something has replaced the real Jason Carver and is wearing his skin.
“Uh- good morning?” Jason says dumbly. He just wanted to be nice to the guy, but now he sort of feels like this is worse than being a jerk.
“Good…morning…” Munson seems to test the words on his tongue, a slight disbelieving quirk of his lips, “Sure, Carver. Good morning.”
