Summary
His ears tell him: your mother and sister are in the living room. It is a late night, and nothing seems to dwindle their spirits under such bright moonlight. They're laughing, and Iris's — when has he ever disappeared? — voice is so carefree here it is almost golden. Go join them. Sit up. Open the door. Walk out.
Or, Lillium wakes up in his childhood bedroom again.

Summary
When he moved to Seattle years ago, Lillium wanted to start over. A new city, a new apartment, a new job in a fancy restaurant—a tidy life that had nothing to do with the one he had left behind. Until one night he meets Iris, a part-time worker at the local museum with unsettling dark eyes and glittery stars on his cheeks.
None of them had expected their life to change tonight. And yet, one single encounter is enough for their long-built order to start crumbling into dust.
In the end, they’re like every fragment of matter—inherently drawn to chaos.
[Or: Modern AU where they meet in their mid-twenties, as they try to navigate through life with all their unpacked baggage.]

Summary
Lillium isn't making a habit of visiting a particular coffee shop. Or, if he is, it's not because he finds a particular barista there cute (also interesting, charming, and oddly soothing to be around.) Absolutely not. Iris just makes good coffee, that's all.
Lillium may be just a tiny bit in denial.
Iris is having a hard time believing his interest is ever going to be returned, given the way Lillium pretends not to notice.

Summary
“C’mere, dummy-“
His body sags against the side of Lillium’s, tucked between his side and his arm.
Lillium was going to have to pay him to return his shoulder, because it was Iris’ pillow now, fully equipped with the rhythms of Lillium’s heartbeat and the gentle rise and fall of his chest.
It would have been a feat to have forgotten the nightmare that had gotten him here, but it had faded into the back of his consciousness. It was replaced instead by a reassurance—living breathing proof that he was cared for and that his powers weren’t an omen. That Iris wasn’t predestined to tragedy.
Wrapping his arm around Lillium’s torso, Iris falls into a dreamless sleep.
