   Summary

   Alex starts to count the years and immediately stops himself because that also means counting his age and remembering his greying temples, and just… really one midlife crisis at a time, please.

   That being said, Alex has been holding on to his job tightly like a man who can’t swim wrapped around a buoy at sea and he knows he has been stretching it. Henry is his staunch supporter and advocate, but Alex couldn’t hide behind his husband forever.
