Kylo finds Rey unconscious and near death on the side of a road, surrounded by twitching, wretched things looking to her for their next meal. Ever the altruist, he picks them off and takes her with him, saving her life in the process. It's no wonder that when she wakes she feels she owes him, and agrees to become his travel companion as he crosses the United States in search of safety and a new home.Zombie Apocalypse AU, mind the tags/warnings.

Ben Solo is the hard line, up tight, AP English teacher, who never grew out of his angry teenage-boyhood worship of Hemingway. Rey Niima is the optimistic new Art teacher who’s quickly become every student’s favorite. Poe Dameron is the popular laid back teacher who makes History exciting and always brings his dog, BB, to class. Finn Rider is the cheerful Gym teacher, who can’t make it through sex ed without dying of embarrassment. Gwen Phasma is Finn’s hardass and competitive female counterpart, and she’s gonna take sex ed by the balls. Rose Tico is the adorable and surprisingly sassy Physics teacher whose class is interrupted by the occasional explosion. Armitage Hux teaches Civics and it’s a nightmare, just the way he likes it.
Throw in a bunch of dysfunctional adults, rampant teenage hormones, some bathroom graffiti and the homecoming from hell.
What could possibly go wrong?
(Basically this whole thing is just done for laughs.)

“Will hurting me, killing me, help to improve your emotional state?” Kylo asked her. “Because if so, go ahead.” He held his arms out in front of him, in surrender. He fixed his eyes on hers. A challenge. He was tired. Too tired to argue. But there was something irresistible about her, that drew him like a moth to a naked flame.
“Go on.” He said. "Do it."
Rey looked at him and took a step forward. The saber shook in her hands. She began to swing the weapon towards him and the breath left his lungs. She really meant to kill him.

Supreme Leader Snoke has ordered Kylo Ren to capture Rey and bring her to him. Conflicted, Ren fears that Snoke may replace him and is also unnerved by Rey's growing power and her ability to spark new and dangerous emotions within him. Meanwhile, Rey questions the darkness within her and tries to figure out what destiny the force has set out for her. Slow Burn.
