    “I’m sorry you were burdened out of spite.”

    Not quite out of spite, but Daniel didn’t say anything. Let Louis think what he wanted of Armand - the less those two had to do with each other, the better. Still, Daniel had hoped that the book tour would have drawn some kind of reaction.
