"Am I not allowed to check in on my doggy?" Dazai asks as if affronted, with a hand to the chest.
"Shut up and get to the point. Do we have a mission or something?"
"No," Dazai says, and then sort of trails off and goes quiet, blank. It's not something he is very prone to. His hands are sweaty and he doesn't know why. His arm jumps a little at his side.
"Then what? If you're not gonna talk, I'm gonna -- "
"Does Chuuya know it's my birthday today?"

To be honest, I almost cried reading at the part where Chuuya so nonchalantly forgetting about Dazai's indirect invitation because Dazai hurts and I don't know what to do with myself when my baby cries because all I can do is cry together with him. But Chuuya's plan afterwards healed me back 100% so this is the second fic of Dazai's surprised birthday party made by Chuuya that I've read and will make me remember every 19th June.

"Dazai-san said you're my mama... but not like my real mama, just my 'for now' mama... he said he can be my 'for now' papa..."

Atsushi is looking at him very hopefully. Ah, an orphan desperate for parents, even if they're just 'for now'.

When Atsushi is deaged, Dazai drops him off at Chuuya's on his day off. In the process, Chuuya learns that there was something very wrong with Atsushi's childhood and does his best to give him the care he was missing, all the while dealing with the troubling discovery that people call him 'Mama of the Port Mafia' behind his back.

Soft Dazai and Soft Chuuya taking care of deaged Atsushi. You can see how Dazai can be a father figure through his interaction with kid!Atsushi. He is so soft with kid and a very loving father. And Mama Chuuya! God, Chuuya is really the Mama of the Port Mafia. He takes care of every younger mafia members like his own child. His temporary time being kid!Atsushi's mama is so adorable too. I love so much this fic probably because of the way the author described everything so smoothly and so flawlessly you'll be immersed when reading this story.

If asked, you will never get any concrete idea of the relationship between the Dazai Osamu and the Nakahara Chuuya back when they are in the Port Mafia. Are they partners? Sure. Do they hate each other? Maybe, yes? no? Were they dating? or maybe just a fling between two teenagers? Just what is going on between the two? It's just too complicated for a normal person to know.
One thing for sure, their relationship resulted on something that even Mori didn't expect to be an outcome of their union.
The only people who could truly answer are the two themselves, and of course their child.

The best family dynamic fanfic to ever exist in skk nation in my honest opinion. The author did an intricately amazing job at writing and arranging the plot. Best planning on the author's part. We got to experience how Dazai Osamu knows everything and planned his strategies beforehand to overcome the problems faced by Yokohama citizens and I can guarantee that when his plans were finally revealed one by one, the revelation will definitely leave us speechless. All the brainstorming done by the author are mind-blowing. Also, what I love the most is the OC introduced in this fic. He will be loved by everyone reading this story and I am now will imagine how Dazai and Chuuya's child will look like every time I think about skk's child. This is an A/B/O universe. The explanations told by the author are clear so you can understand thoroughly how it works here. Nakahara Yue or skk's child is an ability user and his ability is the best ability to ever been thought of. I honestly wonder what the author consume during their meals to ever think of lots of impressive things to be written. To summarize, this is one of the best works ever written for skk nation that needs to be read by all skk lovers.

Realise mid-reading that I've read this story before and when I wanted to leave kudos, ao3 warned me that I've left kudos on this fic before 🫠.
Anyways, this is a fic abt what summer meant to Chuuya. Dazai and Chuuya are both childhood friends and they're always together but Dazai is a bit popular that there was a time when Chuuya wonder why Dazai chose to befriend him and spend time with him other than the other kids and from there I guess that Chuuya was oblivious to Dazai's feeling towards him and also his own feeling towards Dazai. There was also a misunderstanding happening resulting in Dazai moving over to other region of Japan but they eventually resolve it when they met again. This fic involving Dazai sending postcards to Chuuya many times but Chuuya took time to reply but once he replied back, something happened.
(Mentioning lots of parts of this fic so that I won't forget what this fic is about since my brain refused to remember anything only from reading the title 💔)
