The first two years of her time at Hogwarts had been perfectly sane, for the most part. Not much you can do to stay sane when you're running with Lee Jordan, Alicia Spinett, Angelina Johnson, and the Weasley Twins. Best friends since their first year and have done little else but take their fun where they can get it. Then the 1991 school year rolls around and with her younger cousin Hermione's admission into Hogwarts comes a world of trouble. Visions flood Cassie's mind and it's all she can do not to drop dead trying to protect her cousin and her friends.
Over the years, as Wizarding England is taking its last breaths of peacetime, barreling head first into the Second Wizarding War, Cassie realizes she and her friends may have a larger role to play in it all than she originally thought.

Fred and Hermione knew that there was every chance they wouldn't make it out of this alive. It was with earnest hope and acceptance of whatever the future may bring that they exchanged hurried vows before spellfire broke out. Because all things end. But knowing that all things end shouldn't change our plans, because then we might begin again.

A name she made for herself at the ripe age of 11 when every wand she touched seemed to snap, shatter, or outright catch fire. After The Quibbler ran an article on the phenomenon, she was swept up by the Department of Mysteries and spent a week being poked, prodded, and tested for any kind of magical anomaly. In the end, when she'd been deemed safe and given a special finger cuff to channel her magic into, she'd been shipped off to Hogwarts with everyone else. It was a blessedly uneventful seven years. She played quidditch, passed classes, and met her best friends in the entire world: Victoire and Teddy. All was well until she began her Unspeakable training. Being a magical phenomenon herself, she wanted to spend her life solving them. Sera loved a mystery, but as she picked up a lone Time Turner, her first thought as she felt herself being pulled into it was somewhere along the lines of:

Hermione had just sighed and picked her quill up again when the front door of the apothecary suddenly flew open, smacking the bell above it violently and letting in fat snowflakes, a gust of frigid wind, and a rather frazzled looking Fred Weasley.
“Merlin above, shut that!” she cried, desperately clutching at several sheets of parchment on the counter that were threatening to take flight.
The door closed almost immediately with a rather reserved snick considering the chaos it had admitted, at which point Hermione exhaled in relief and began restacking everything.
Once she had it back in some semblance of order, she pushed a few wayward curls out of her eyes and looked up at Fred. Annoyance turned to apprehension as she read the harried expression on his usually cheerful face; he looked about ready to be sick on his shoes.
She was just about to ask what was wrong when Fred opened his mouth and blurted out a series of words that made not one single iota of sense.
“I need you to marry me.”
