Peter counts twenty-four versions of himself looking back at him. Twenty-four of his hideous junior year photo, all blown up to twenty-four times his size. And maybe two thousand people below, glaring at him, filming him. Starting to yell.
A lot of them are running away. A mother falls with her little boy in her arms, she’s so desperate to get away.
So he’s not exactly thinking straight when he jumps down into the crowd and makes a beeline for MJ.

Summary
When the Avengers find a malnourished, traumatized, enhanced teen in a Hydra base, they manage to convince SHIELD that the kid is better off in the Compound than the SHIELD Headquarters.
Peter Parker thinks his luck might finally be changing for the better, until he hears a conversation between Captain America and Iron Man that terrifies him--if the superheroes find out that Peter was an assassin for Hydra, he feels certain they'll kick him out--or worse, send him to the Raft for a punishment he surely deserves.
Can the Spider manage to keep his bloodied past a secret from a room full of mind readers, spies and military? It'll certainly prove harder than he'd thought.

Summary
MJ lives in a world where there are soulmates, a world where love is decided for her. Soulmates are paired at birth, and they are joined together by a bond that cannot be broken: when something is drawn on the skin of one soulmate, it appears on the other. Soulmates can have as much or as little to do with one another as they wish. Many couples choose to ignore the soulmate concept entirely, marrying and doing as they please outside of it-- however, there always will be a lingering question of "What if?"
This question sort of makes MJ want to throw up.
MJ wants nothing to do with soulmates. She wants to decide what to do for herself, and fate can go suck it if it thinks that it will control MJ for the rest of her life. But her soulmate has other ideas, and soon MJ will find herself torn between what she wants and what the universe has decided she needs.
