Yuzuru was beautiful and kind. Until he wasn't. Until something shuttered behind his eyes and Javier could only watch him recede into something ethereal, unreachable.
The tango built. Yuzuru gathered speed for a jump…
And fell.
It happened so fast Javier barely registered it. One moment Yuzuru was in the air, rotating, perfect form, and the next he was down, hard, his body slamming into the ice with a crack that echoed through the empty arena.
