He takes a cautious drink before mumbling, almost to himself, “Weirdo.”
Cas tilts his head, considering.
“Humans used to bow down in the presence of an angel. They’d give me offerings and shield their eyes, as though they weren’t worthy of viewing me, even in a human vessel.” Castiel sighs. “And here you are, calling me a pigeon and a weirdo.”
“Yeah, the pigeon’s a stretch, at least they have wings.”
Cas bristles. “You could show some gratitude. Not many have been handpicked by God to be saved from eternal damnation.”
“That’s a funny way of askin’ me to get on my knees for you, pal.”
