Genuinely a work of art. I want to frame this or maybe inject it into my veins. Incredibly well thought out, plot-wise. L and Light’s relationship is incomprehensible, a bizarre mix between sweet domesticity and twisted mind games stretched across ten life times. It was beautiful and I’ve never been caught off guard by so many plot twists in my life. I learned very quickly not to trust either of them, and also, that they will never betray each other in a way that matters. I’m speechless. I cannot articulate the range of emotions this story has dragged me through, and Misa, Watari, Light’s dad, B, and the Wammy boys were handled so well and with so much depth I had to pause at times. I could go on forever, but unlike Lawlight, I don’t have eternity. This was genius, I loved it.

Summary
L has been in Light’s life for several years now and, over time, one thing has become steadily more and more obvious.
No one actually knows Light.
It’s not always an insidious thing, part of a scheme, it’s just something about the way Light talks really. He has a way of directing conversation away with subtle, gentle, tactics and he’s more interested in being likeable than being honest.
But L wants to know everything.
