Summary
After Mary's death, John Watson is heartbroken and inconsolable. Sherlock Holmes wants nothing more than to find a way to help his friend to be happy again. When Sherlock begins therapy appointments with Ella, she convinces him to write a letter (never to be sent) to express his true feelings for John. When John accidentally stumbles upon this letter, he's forced to come to terms with feelings he's never really acknowledged.
This is the story of how the light and its conductor slowly find their way back to one other.

Summary
Sherlock Holmes was believed by most to have died by jumping to his death. A few people, Mycroft Holmes included believed he died in somewhere in Serbia, tortured to death, though his body was never found. Sherlock Holmes himself doesn't believe either of the above, obviously.
After being extensively tortured in Serbia, he suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him with amnesia, and deafness. But the doctors say that the deafness is psychological in nature. It doesn't matter much to him. All he knows is that his name is William, and that he was once (and it seems he always will be) in love with a man by the name of John Watson.
John has suffered much in the last eight years. Losing his best friend to suicide, marrying and then later being divorced by his wife, battling for joint custody of his child, and generally trying to forge ahead and figure out what the seemingly bleak future holds in store for him. But what he could never expect is Sherlock's sudden return. Nor the man's conviction that once upon a time they were madly in love.

Sherlock wants to understand what it’s like being a woman. John’s simultaneously horrified and amused and Molly’s eager to help, on her own terms. A rather talky, very silly story with lots of humor and a dash of angst.

Summary
There's a case. Why does there always have to be a case? Normally, John loves their joint work, but on this occasion the timing is disastrous. He needs Sherlock to stop running from the fact that they've slept together, and in terms of avoidance, a serial killer is the perfect distraction.
