Then the Visitor took a deep, filthy inhale like he was dragging the scent straight through the door and into whatever counted as lungs.
“I can smell your fear through the door, it's eating you alive, its delicious."

Drunk, guilty, and utterly alone after FEMA rips the little girl from his arms, the homeowner was halfway away from drinking himself to death with a loaded shotgun by his side,
But then came along a certain Visitor who confused his guilt for fucking baby fever.

He was almost a little shocked when the other man leaned forward, tilting his head up, asking for his to be lit as well. Viktor leaned down, obliging immediately. Their faces drew closer and the dim light illuminated them both, the tips of their cigarettes touching briefly until the others began to burn. He savored the proximity while it lasted.
They stayed there for a moment too long, swirls of green meeting straight black. Finally pulling back to release a plume of smoke, he honestly couldn’t stand the taste, but beared it, nonetheless. The man’s eyes never left him, even when he turned to exhale, he was always looking, like if he blinked Viktor would be gone.
