A normal day is severely sidetracked when a gold and silver sphere appears in Omega Outpost One. No one remembers taking it in, no one knows where it came from and no one certainly knows what it's capable.
Apparently it's capable of peering into alternate universes, differing worlds that show them what-ifs, maybe-could-haves and never-will-be. This will be a learning experience, not only for the Autobots, but for the Decepticons as an identical artifact appears on the Nemesis and the Cons are unknowingly watching alongside them.

Summary
What if Megatron hadn't killed Orion the day they met?
Orion is a worker at storage yard 67 along with his good friends Dion and Ariel. One late evening, he is approached by one of the mysterious new mechs that had recently appeared on Cybertron. An unbreakable bond forms between the two, and their fates are bound for eons to come.
Whether that's a good thing or not, is to be seen.

The gray mech locked optics with him. The scrutinizing crimson, winged helm, large chassis, and angled shoulderplates all came together to form a powerful figure. Orion almost couldn’t equate this bot with the one who had been kneeling at Darkwing’s pedes just a few solar-cycles previous.

Megatronus is a miner, just trying to keep his numbers up, and his helm down. This becomes more difficult when he befriends Orion Pax– fellow miner, and self-described anti-functionalism-pacifist. Nobody could guess that their meeting would spiral into the most brutal and long-standing conflict in Cybertronian history.
