Summary
Atsushi takes the mug then, savoring the familiar heat against his hands, and takes a slow sip of the drink. It’s a cappuccino, he realizes, the familiar bitterness of espresso mixing with the slight sweetness of the steamed milk on his tongue.
“It’s really good!” Atsushi says cheerfully, taking another sip. Kill ‘em with kindness, he supposes, though maybe it would’ve been funnier to pretend he didn’t like it. And the coffee is delicious, but Akutagawa’s got a strange expression stuck on his face like he wasn’t expecting the reaction.
“What, did you want me to say it was bad?”
Atsushi's a barista who just wants a snack after a long day at work, and Akutagawa might have a bit of a problem with that.

“My tiger? Kyouka says I’m really warm and soft. She’s taken a nap on me more than once.”
“Are you suggesting I sleep on you,” Akutagawa asked in a disbelieving monotone.
“I won’t try anything, I promise,” Atsushi said, his hands raised in innocence. “This is just so you can get some sleep and I don’t have to hear your bitching.”

Summary
Atsushi's second Christmas outside of the orphanage is fast approaching and after last year he looks forward to celebrating with his work family once more, but to his demise, Dazai exists. And so he finds himself stuck with Akutagawa in a cabin up in the mountains spying on a couple neither can stand.
As the two bond over their shared hatred for cliche-filled movies and the annoying couple, tension rises and they must confront the feelings that bubble underneath the surface of pretending to hate each other.---
