Kaito knows Higashi loves him. Has loved him ever since they were both Matsugane. Always, constantly, relentlessly. It seems like the time they’ve spent apart has only made that love grow stronger, deeper, sort of possessive as well. Maybe that’s why he insists on slapping Yagami’s hands away almost unconsciously.
Yagami also loves him, although he’s never said that out loud. Not that he needs to. They way he touches and kisses Kaito like he’s hungry tells him all he needs to know; that Yagami loves him, needs him.
As for Kaito? Kaito has a big enough heart to fit love for both of them. And those two love each other as much as they love him too.
