    Following on from V is for Vision, an AOTC AU. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan both survived and defeated Darth Maul on Naboo, while Anakin elected to remain with Padmé, forgoing Jedi training altogether to be a pilot in the Queen’s service. How, then, might the events of The Attack of the Clones have unfolded with the benefit of Qui-Gon’s presence, Obi-Wan’s visions of the future, and with Anakin now a Captain in the Royal Guard?

    Here is a quick summary of what can be skipped if you don’t want to read the whole thing:

    Chapter 1 - a re-telling of “Tales of the Jedi - The Sith Lord”. Can be skipped as not essential to the story line.

    Chapters 2 - 8 - Attack of the Clones but re-written to include Qui-Gon, with Anakin as a pilot and Captain in the Nubian Royal Guard. Much of it sticks close to canon and borrows heavily from the source material, so can be skipped if you don’t want to plough through looking for the changes I’ve made to the story line.

    Chapters 9 - 13 - complete deviation from canon AOTC covering the confrontation of Dooku through to discovering the identity of the Sith Lord. The bit that’s worth reading if you’re pressed for time or interest!

    Spinel has a fever and refuses to let anyone know of this vulnerability, unfortunately for him, his mechanic is an idiot with a heart of gold and a hand full of Snom.

    Spinel’s fever is ridiculous. He’s been tossing and turning for the last few hours and it hasn’t let up in the slightest. There are timers reminding him to take medicine every few hours, but he doesn’t dare ask for help.

    Tugging off his layers until he's down to a t-shirt, Spinel feels exposed like this. Though the cool air against his burning skin is like heaven. Besides, there’s no one here except Umbreon to witness him like this. He keeps his door locked 24/7, and no one is stupid enough to break into his personal quarters.
