Summary
Halandil stared at the spot from where his brother vanished. In his mind he knew that this was the outcome that he was expecting, the one that they had planned for. But it was different between planning, prepping, and pulling strings, and actually seeing the plan through. It made him a little numb, and it wasn't until the crowd began to move as crowds do when something is amiss that he zoned back in and thought about how this is going to be perceived by the Houses and the guard that he finally picked up another sound. The shifting of armor.
The shifting of armor grew until it could be heard despite the growing murmurs of the crowd, before suddenly it stopped. Hal had just enough time to turn back to the wall where the empty hangman's noose fluttered in the breeze before there is a crack of thunder and a body went flying though the shattered doors.
Or; Thjazi Fang escapes, an arcane marshal is to blame, someone gets a little jumpy with putting a dagger into Azune's back, and things quickly devolve from there.

Summary
Julian gets the message when he’s away in one of the outer provinces, helping to organize the staff of a recently rebuilt hospital, because of course he does.
He had noticed Garak coughing a couple of times before he left, had set the back of his hand to one cool gray cheek and found it neither warm nor chilled, and frowned thoughtfully.
“You feel fine, but I’d still like to do a scan,” Julian said.
“You’ll do no such thing; you’re running behind as it is,” Garak had replied, which really should have been Julian’s cue to force the issue.

After years of living together on Cardassia Prime, Garak begins to succumb to Perek Syndrome, a disease caused by feelings of unreciprocated love. With his friend refusing both surgery or divulging the cause, it's up to Julian to find another form of treatment before it's too late.

Summary
Verin is shocked to discover that Molly and Caleb are not in fact courting his brother Essek as he has assumed for months. Instead, he hears that Molly and Caleb have become engaged. It explains why Essek has been avoiding them all evening, on the night of the ball that will formalise Verin’s own engagement.
