“Viktor’s so much more exuberant than I expected,” Yuuri murmured, a statement which prompted Viktor's heartrate to pick up.
He wondered if Yuuri meant this in a good or bad way.
Viktor’s parents might have called him something similar as a kid, but of course, their connotation had always been negative. Fear pricked at the wet ends of his coiled fur; did his new student think he was too much, as well?
“He’s always acted so serious in his interviews, but I’m starting to realize that he’s actually kind of a goofball, isn’t he?” Yuuri went on, musingly, and the earlier panic that had gripped him subsided a bit at his tone. “It’s kind of nice…it makes him seem more human.”
And how ironic, because Viktor had certainly never felt less human in his life, as his doggy heart thudded within the confines of Makkachin's furry frame.

In the midst of Yuuri and Yurio preparing for Onsen on Ice, Viktor discovers that for a 3 hour period every day, he can swap bodies with his beloved Makka. Given that Yuuri appears far more comfortable around her than around him, Viktor is thrilled by this discovery, even as it poses some obvious complications for their developing relationship
