Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)

Summary
His heart wilts at the reminder that this is the kind of person Eddie likes. The kind of woman Eddie likes.
But then-
“I can't take the credit,” Eddie tells her. “My boyfriend did all the work.”
For a moment - the briefest moment ever - Buck feels jealousy in his veins at Eddie's mention of a boyfriend. Then, he realizes two things simultaneously.
1) Eddie's straight.
2) All the work done tonight was done by Buck.Buck blue-screens, overriding any need to be a ‘power czar’ despite the clipboard still in his hands. In the corner of his eyes, Hen and Karen are gaping having been close enough to hear Eddie's claim.

The whole room collapses into silence as Chris stands. “Stop talking like that right now. You know nothing. Nothing!” The teen is vibrating in his rage and all heads are turned to him.
“You don’t get to say shit about Buck. You know nothing about him. You have never cared to ask, to find out how wonderful he is. How important he is. If you had, you would know that he is the best thing to happen to us, both me and dad.”

The third time? The third time Buck decides he needs to fuck Eddie’s thighs so bad or else he might go crazy
***Eddie looks at him like he can't process the words, like Buck just told him the biggest secret to ever exist, or as if he’s grown a second head. He begins to panic a little watching Eddie’s expression
