He isn’t waiting for Zanka to mess up; he is trying to observe, to absorb exactly what it is that makes Zanka special. But Zanka doesn’t know this. Zanka only sees something raw, something personal, something so different from what Follo usually looks like. It is not hungry but it is wanting.

    It surprises him that something lurks beneath Follo’s easy smiles, his care and kindness. Maybe Zanka just doesn’t pay enough attention, and that irks him. A lot. Because Nijikus should be observant, Nijikus should be careful. And Cleaners should care.
