He ran his hands down Shouto’s back and Shouto hummed contently. Izuku’s hands seemed stiffer somehow and Shouto’s own boyfriend senses kicked in as he realized how tightly Izuku was coiled against him. He knew Izuku was going to speak before he even opened his mouth. “There’s something I was going to tell you, but it’s a little harder now that I’m not hiding in the dark,” Izuku said before forcing out a laugh.
Izuku was nervous about something. He was hiding it with poor jokes but Shouto could feel his back sweating a little through his t-shirt as he ran his hands along Izuku’s sides.

“No,” Zenitsu admitted. He didn’t want him to go. All he wanted was for Tanjirou to stay by his side, safe and sound.
“Then I won’t fight.” He paused, hesitating. “But what if I no longer have a choice in the matters? Will you go with me?"
He waited for Zenitsu’s answer. He is scared of the war, but he is even more terrified of the idea that he will let Tanjirou go and might never come back. Zenitsu studied the boy who held him in his arms. He looked so vulnerable. For once, he looked so far from his fate of being one of the greatest warriors of men. So far from the idea that his hands will be stained from the blood of the many. Maybe in another life, he would’ve refused. Screaming, flailing, and crying. But in this one, he’d faithfully stay by Tanjirou’s side and take the risk, regardless of how terrified he was. He cupped his face tenderly in his hands.
“If you have to go, you know I will follow you.” Even to death.
