After two years of playing scattered gigs with Bev, Mike, Bill, Stan, and Ben, Richie and Eddie had somehow never met each other. They never showed up for the same performance, never met at a party, never played their bass and electric guitar together. For two years, Richie Tozier had been nothing but a cautionary tale for Eddie Kaspbrak. For two years, Richie couldn't wait to finally cross paths with him. For two years, they'd been living in the back of each other's minds. And finally after two years, they met. And though he never said it out loud, Eddie was almost positive they had somehow met before, maybe even in another life. All he knew was cigarettes never tasted sweeter, the nights never felt so young, and for once he almost felt sure.
